Description: We have performed extensive maintenance on this node over the last few weeks but issues continue to arise. After the software patch on 12/17/2017 the node is showing signs of hardware failure causing additional halts.
We have ordered a new RAID card that should be at our office before 12/30. Unfortunately, due to the holidays and the shipping craze, it is hard to tell. We also plan on cloning and replacing all hard drives in hdd1.
This maintenance should solve the following issues:
- Recurring read/write errors on multiple hard drives
- Increase 2TB drive limit to 6TB
- Increased RAID performance
Customer data loss is not expected but always remember to be on the safe side. This maintenance window is scheduled for 6 hours but we do not anticipate things to take that long.
Type of Work: Software Patch
Impact of Work: Service outage
Description: This maintenance window is related to hdd1. This node was rebooted (emergency) on 11/25/17. Unfortunately this caused pending software updates to automatically complete which broke VNC console capability of this node.
Therefore we have scheduled this maintenance window to patch hdd1 with a working version of the VNC software. This will require all services on hdd1 to be stopped. We do not anticipate any side effects. No customer data loss is expected but always remember to take and maintain your own backups.
Type of Work: Database
Impact of Work: VPS control panel outage
Description: This planned maintenance notice is to inform you that on April 9th 2016, our VPS control panel will be unavailable as we move our database server to a more robust system. This is not expected to take longer than 1 hour. This control panel outage will not affect the uptime of the actual VPS services.
All VPS services will remain online during this time however you will be unable to manage your VPS using the control panel while this work is taking place.
